A planning application has been submitted by Swindon Borough Council for a new pocket square and footway/cycleway link within the Canalside area.
The footway/cycleway will run west from the main Community Street to the District Centre car park due to be delivered as part of a future phase of development. The link will provide access to the nursery located in the Kingfisher CE Primary school as well as the Freeman Retirement Living development.
The design has been developed by Bradley Murphy Design and includes a small square incorporating planting and seating as well as locations for public art.
