The Deanery CE Academy will welcome its first pupils in September but the construction work is only a few months from completion.
The brickwork and render is now largely complete on the outside of the building with finishing touches now being made.
Corridors and classrooms are being painted with science, art and music rooms all starting to take shape. The tables and chairs will follow in the fit-out phase once the main construction is complete.
The most impressive rooms are the new theatre space and the sports hall which sit in the centre of the building along with the dance and activity rooms.
Finally, we had a look around the cafe which sits at the heart of the community space and opens up onto the entrance plaza which provides a pedestrian link up to the new road currently being constructed.

There was a huge amount of activity going on when we visited and we can’t wait to see the progress over the next few months.
